Come join in on the festivities!
Sat. May 12, 2012 from 5-8pm
Starting May 12, 2012 contemporary furniture and accessories store, Contemporary Trends, will carry a selection of fine art prints of my contemporary abstract paintings. They are hosting an an opening reception to kick it off.
YOU are cordially invited!
But that’s not all…We’re taking the opportunity to do some good by making this opening reception a fundraiser.
All proceeds from the sales of my artwork during the opening reception will be donated to the
WOC is a local non-profit that works hard to help people help themselves. They serve people with families in transition, often in a life-changing type of transition such as at the onset of separation, divorce or the death of the primary income earner. They strive to help each client achieve economic self-sufficiency and the basic emotional stability that can come from attaining this.
The reception will be a great chance to meet staff and volunteers from WOC and to learn about the Center’s services, mission and successes.
Now is a great time to make a donation to WOC. Here’s an article from July 2011 describing WOC and the NYS funding crisis (http://msmagazine.com/blog/blog/2011/07/01/wheres-the-womens-opportunity/) Fortunately thanks to their successful track record, New York State funding for Ithaca’s WOC, while drastically reduced, was not cut to zero.
Donations are now vitally important.
On Display and For Sale: Limited edition fine art prints of a selection of paintings in my Abstract Scapes and Abstract Shapes portfolios will be on display and for sale. These are custom framed, large size, limited edition fine art prints on gallery wrapped canvas. A variety of smaller sizes will be available for purchase as well. Also for sale, created especially for this event, is a series of matted small prints on fine art paper of these same paintings, priced at $50 each.
Whether or not you are considering purchasing any artwork, please consider making a direct donation to WOC in person at this event or through their website: www.womensopportunity.org
Hope to see you there!
